TIPS:
A taxi ride to Brava House from the airport will run about $20-25.
Super shuttle also offers a shuttle service for $25 per person.
Contact them directly at (512) 929-3900 or reservations@supershuttle.com. A bus is also available, at transportation area, called cap metro airport flyer. Cost is $1, take to 12th/Lavaca St. Go west on 12th St about six blocks to Blanco St. Turn left on Blanco St we are the second house on right.
If you're driving, following our directions will help you avoid the most traffic
possible, as well as get here via the most direct & easiest route!

| Directions from Austin Bergstrom International Airport:
Take IH-71 west out of the airport to I-35; go north on I-35. Reaching downtown,
take the 6th Street exit and turn left on 6th Street. Follow 6th all the way
through downtown, for a little over a mile. You will go through the intersection
at Lamar Blvd. (there is a Whole Foods Market on the corner). Blanco Street
is the next light past Lamar. Turn right on Blanco and we are 3 blocks down
on the left side, past the fire station. NOTE: If you are driving
from the airport during peak morning or afternoon weekday traffic, the alternate
route below may save you a lot of time and aggravation!
Alternate
Airport Route:
Take IH-71 west out of the airport for
less than a mile, to Highway 183. Go north on 183, and follow the
signs for 1st/5th/7th Streets. Continue following the signs for
1st Street/Cesar Chavez. Take 1st/Cesar Chavez all the way to downtown,
past I-35 and into downtown, turn right on Lavaca St to 6th st. Turn left on 6th Street for several blocks until
you cross Lamar. The first light past Lamar is Blanco Street; turn
right. We are about 3 blocks down, past a stop sign and fire house,
on the left hand side.

Directions
from I-35 North and Dallas:
From I-35 exit MLK/15th Street. Go West on MLK Blvd. for a little over a
mile, until it dead ends into Lamar Blvd. Turn left on Lamar, about 4 blocks
to 12th Street. Turn right on 12th and go to the first stop sign, which
is Blanco. Turn left on Blanco, and we are the second house on the right. |
Directions from Houston:
Coming into Austin from 290, follow 290 West into Austin to
I-35. Go South (take a left) onto I-35 to the MLK/15th Street. Go
West on MLK Blvd. for a little over a mile, until it dead ends into
Lamar Blvd. Turn left on Lamar, about 4 blocks to 12th Street. Turn
right on 12th and go to the first stop sign, which is Blanco. Turn
left on Blanco, and we are the second house on the right. NOTE:
If you are arriving during peak rush hour, to avoid traffic you can
continue on 290 past I-35 for about a mile or so to Lamar Blvd. Turn
left on Lamar and take it all the way to 12th Street (there will be
some traffic on Lamar but not as bad as I-35). Turn right on 12th;
the first stop sign is Blanco. Turn left on Blanco and we are the 2nd
house on the right. |
Directions
from San Antonio and I-35 South:
From I-35 exit 6th Street; the first immediate light when exiting is 6th Street
- turn left. Take 6th Street all the way through downtown, over a mile, until
you pass Lamar (there is a Whole Foods Market on the corner). The first light
past Lamar is Blanco Street; turn right. We are about 3 blocks down, past a stop
sign and fire house, on the left hand side. NOTE: If
you are coming this route after 8 pm on a Friday or Saturday night, East 6th
Street is closed off for pedestrians. Continue north on I-35 to MLK Blvd. and
follow the directions above. |
Directions
from West of Austin:
Come into Austin using any route that will take you to Mopac/Loop 1 (2222, 71,
1325, etc.) Take Mopac towards downtown and exit Enfield. Turn East on Enfield
to West Lynn. Turn right on West Lynn, turn left next stop light onto 12th Street. The next stop sign is Blanco. Turn right on Blanco, and we are
the second house on the right. |
